Huawei MA5800-X17 OLT 2x MPLA, 2x PILA, 2x H901NXED with 2x 10G 10km SFP modules
The MA5800 is the industry's first intelligent aggregation OLT with a distributed architecture that is positioned as the next generation OLT for NG-PON. The product is designed to help operators create networks with more bandwidth, higher speeds and smarter connectivity with better service.
The OLT terminal provides access to GPON, 10G PON, including XG-PON and XGS-PON, as well as P2P 10GE/GE. It supports deployment in FTTH, FTTD, FTTB, and FTTC networks , and is applicable in scenarios such as home, enterprise and wireless Internet access to combine all services into a single fiber network. The MA5800 functions as a high capacity aggregation device in the network.
it simplifies the network architecture by aggregating traffic from ONTs, MDUs and campus switches.
The MA5800 uses a distributed architecture, which is the same as a router, in which service processing on the control board is distributed to each service board, improving the switching capability of the system, performance and reliability.
The MA5800 supports distributed cache for fast 4K/8K video startup or channel switching.
The device also supports VMOS video quality monitoring . Built-in probes on the boards are used to collect video indicators, and NMS is used for remote monitoring and performance query monitoring, which improves video O&M.
During OLT updates, the video service is not interrupted, enhancing the user experience.
With support for combo PON technology, the MA5800 terminal can work with an embedded WDM1r optical module to provide a seamless evolution from GPON to XG(S)-PON.
The Huawei MA5800-X17 chassis can be mounted in a 19" rack. The modular platform is equipped with slots for service card installation, so that up to 17 modular GPON cards of 16 ports each can be installed. The hardware and software ma5800-X2, MA5800-X7, MA5800-X15 and MA5800-X17 are compatible.
Huawei OLT GPON MA5800-X17 6RU chassis included:
Two MPLA control modules (4 SFP/SFP 1/10g ports each)
Two PILA power supplies at 48V.

Possible causes:
- The active standby switch command / is executed manually.
- The original active control board is defective.
- A physical port or line on the original active control board is faulty.
- The active control board is defective, causing the system to switch safely.
- The daughter synchronization card of the original control board is defective.
- The system performs intermittent switching.
